Start your title with [FOR SALE] for an item you are selling, [WANTED] for something you are hunting, [TRADE] for a proposed swap, or [PRICE CHECK] for help discussing value. Keep the artist, title or item name in the title too.
Make your listing useful
Include the artist and title, format and pressing details where known, an honest condition description, your asking price or proposed trade, general shipping location and shipping terms, and photographs where available. Relevant Discogs links can help identify a release; they are not proof of ownership, condition or seller reliability.
Keep availability up to date
When an item is gone, edit the title to add [SOLD], [TRADED] or [NO LONGER AVAILABLE]. If editing is no longer available, add a reply with that status and ask a moderator to update the title.
Agree on the details before sending money or records
Transactions are negotiated directly between members. Recordholics Anonymous does not collect payments, verify sellers, provide escrow, or guarantee buyers, sellers, merchandise, shipping, condition or delivery. We do not provide buyer/seller protection.
Use a payment method with appropriate buyer protection and check its eligibility and limits. Buyers should verify descriptions, pressing details, photographs and seller claims. Sellers should disclose known defects, shipping charges and terms honestly. Be cautious about pressure to pay quickly or abandon payment protections.
Keep private details private
Do not post home addresses, phone numbers, payment credentials or other sensitive personal or financial information. Share only a general shipping location publicly. If you choose to continue a transaction outside the forum, exchange necessary private details through a channel you both trust.
Keep it honest and report concerns
Fraudulent, stolen, counterfeit or prohibited items are not permitted. Use the existing Report control on a post to flag suspected scams or suspicious activity. Avoid posting someone’s private information or making unverified public accusations. Moderators may hide or remove listings and restrict accounts when necessary.
