Membership Billing Terms

Your plan and monthly total

Founding Supporter: $5/month. Founding Premium: $12/month. Regular Supporter: $7/month. Regular Premium: $15/month. All amounts are in US dollars. No sales tax is added under our initial-launch configuration. Checkout shows the total you will pay before you confirm. Free membership remains available.

What membership includes

All members share the ten general discussion rooms, including The Music Lounge. Paid memberships include posting without the Free tier’s two-topic/five-reply daily caps and the relevant Supporter or Premium badge. Community rules and moderation still apply. Premium also includes access to The Deep Cuts material as it becomes available. The Deep Cuts is under development; a substantive content library, release date or fixed publishing schedule is not promised today.

Recurring payments

Your first payment is charged when checkout succeeds. Your subscription renews automatically each month until canceled. Your billing account shows your plan, renewal amount and billing date. By confirming checkout, you authorize those recurring payments.

Founding places and protected pricing

Exactly 50 places are shared between the two founding tiers. A number is assigned only after the qualifying first payment is verified. Free signup, failed payment and abandoned checkout do not qualify. Founders retain the $5 Supporter and $12 Premium rates during continuous paid membership, including direct switches between those tiers. Once all places are taken, new paid members use regular pricing. We will not silently substitute a higher price for the one you accepted.

Provisional and permanent recognition

Your place is provisional during the seven-day first-payment refund period. A qualifying full refund revokes Founding Recordholic status, its numbered badge, the place and special pricing eligibility; that provisional number becomes available again. A request received within seven days remains eligible even if processed afterward. Once the window closes and timely requests have been reviewed and resolved, numbered recognition becomes permanent. Finalized numbers are never reassigned after ordinary cancellation. Refunds correcting duplicate charges, billing errors or unrelated payments do not automatically revoke an otherwise valid founding membership.

Changing tiers

An upgrade takes effect after successful payment of the exact prorated adjustment shown for your acceptance, together with the new monthly price. A downgrade takes effect at the next renewal, preserving prepaid Premium access until then. A direct tier switch does not create a second concurrent subscription or forfeit continuous founding rates.

Cancellation

Use Membership & billing to cancel future renewal. Paid access continues through your displayed paid-through date. Reversing scheduled cancellation before access ends preserves continuous founding pricing. When paid membership fully expires, protected rates end; rejoining uses regular pricing. Permanently finalized numbered recognition remains yours after ordinary cancellation. Cancellation alone does not request a refund; the separate first-payment guarantee applies as described in the Refund Policy.

Failed-payment recovery

An unpaid renewal has a ten-day recovery window. Update your payment method and settle the outstanding invoice before the displayed deadline to preserve paid access and founding rates. Repeated failures do not restart the window. Unresolved payment at its end terminates paid access and protected pricing. Contact us before paying an old invoice after membership has ended.

Payment management and future benefits

Your billing account provides payment status, renewal details, secure payment-method updates, tier changes and cancellation. Enter card information only on secure Stripe screens. The separate 60-day complimentary Premium benefit and equivalent $24 credit for current $12 founders have not started. They require a separately approved content launch, do not create another paid subscription and do not automatically trigger additional charges. Existing subscriptions continue under their accepted terms unless changed or canceled.
