What Record Are You Hunting For?

recordholicsanonymous — Fri, 30 Oct 2026 08:19:53 +0000

We've all got one.

That record we've been searching for. The pressing we keep checking Discogs for. The album that always seems to be just a little more expensive than we'd like.

So let's hear it!

What's currently at the top of your want list?

Records, CDs, cassettes, unusual editions, music memorabilia—whatever you've been hunting for.

If you're trying to locate a specific pressing, tell us which one.

And who knows? Another Recordholic might know exactly where to find it.

For actual buying, selling or trading, please follow The Trading Post's existing guidelines and use the appropriate listing labels.

Remember that transactions are arranged directly between members and are undertaken at their own risk.

What's the Best Concert You've Ever Attended?

recordholicsanonymous — Fri, 30 Oct 2026 08:19:44 +0000

Some concerts are enjoyable.

And some stay with you for the rest of your life.

Maybe you saw a legendary artist at the peak of their career.

Maybe it was a band nobody had heard of yet, playing to forty people in a tiny club.

Maybe you weren't even expecting much, and the performance completely blew you away.

Let's hear those stories.

What's the greatest live performance you've personally witnessed?

Who was playing? Where was it? And what made it unforgettable?

If you've got photos, you're welcome to share them.

And if you've seen hundreds of shows and can't possibly pick just one, we understand that too.

Name an Artist More People Should Know About

recordholicsanonymous — Fri, 30 Oct 2026 08:19:32 +0000

There's an incredible amount of music out there that never gets the attention it deserves.

Some artists never had a major hit.

Some made one brilliant album and disappeared.

Some are still making great music but haven't found a larger audience.

And some were simply overlooked the first time around.

Let's use Under the Radar to change that, one discovery at a time.

Recommend an artist, album, or song you think deserves more attention.

Tell us why you love it.

And if there's one track you'd recommend as a starting point, include that too.

Any genre. Any era. Any country.

Who should we be listening to?

What Song or Album Sent You Down a Musical Rabbit Hole?

recordholicsanonymous — Fri, 30 Oct 2026 08:19:22 +0000

You ever hear something that makes you want to know absolutely everything about it?

Maybe you start wondering who played on the recording.

Then you look up the producer.

Then the studio.

Then you discover that the drummer played on another album you love.

And suddenly it's two in the morning.

That's exactly the kind of thing The Rabbit Hole is for.

Music history, recording sessions, interesting connections between artists, songwriting, production, forgotten stories—there's plenty to explore.

So here's our first question:

What recording sent you down a musical rabbit hole, and what did you discover?

What's Everyone Listening to Right Now?

recordholicsanonymous — Fri, 30 Oct 2026 08:19:08 +0000

Let's start with the most important question in any music community.

What's everybody listening to?

Not necessarily your favorite album of all time.

Not necessarily the greatest album ever made.

Just something that's been getting your attention lately.

Maybe it's a record you've owned for thirty years.

Maybe it's a new artist you discovered yesterday.

Maybe it's a song you've played fifteen times this week because you can't get enough of it.

Vinyl, streaming, CDs, cassettes, radio—however you're listening is fine.

Tell us what it is and why it's been on your mind.

Let's hear what you've got.

Give Your Favorite Independent Record Store a Shout-Out!

recordholicsanonymous — Fri, 30 Oct 2026 08:18:45 +0000

One of the best parts of being a music lover is discovering a great independent record shop.

Sometimes it's a place you've been visiting for decades.

Sometimes it's a tiny shop you stumble across while traveling.

And sometimes it's the kind of place where you walk in for twenty minutes and somehow emerge three hours later.

Let's build a collection of recommendations from around the world.

Tell us about an independent record store you love.

What's the name of the shop?

What city or area is it in?

And what makes it special?

Great selection? Friendly staff? Incredible bargain bins? An interesting history?

If you've got a favorite place, give it some love.

Who knows? You might introduce another Recordholic to their next favorite digging destination.

Confession Time: How Often Have You Said "I'm Just Looking"?

recordholicsanonymous — Fri, 30 Oct 2026 08:17:44 +0000

Welcome to Recordholics Anonymous.

We understand your condition.

We've probably got it too.

How many times have you walked into a record shop, confidently announced that you were "just looking," and then somehow ended up at the register?

And what's the most ridiculous excuse you've ever used to justify buying another record?

Maybe it was a different pressing.

Maybe it was an upgrade.

Maybe the price was too good.

Maybe you already owned it, but this one had a nicer cover.

There are no judgments here.

Although we reserve the right to laugh with you.

The meeting is now in session.

What's Your Listening Setup?

recordholicsanonymous — Fri, 30 Oct 2026 08:17:35 +0000

Let's talk about the equipment that brings our favorite music to life.

Turntables, speakers, receivers, amplifiers, headphones, DACs, cassette decks, CD players, streaming setups—whatever you use to listen, we're interested.

You don't need a $20,000 hi-fi system to participate.

Some of the most enjoyable listening experiences happen with modest equipment carefully put together over time.

Tell us what you're using.

What do you love about your setup?

And if you could change just one thing about it, what would it be?

Feel free to share photos.

Just be warned: discussions like this have been known to create expensive ideas.

Let's See Your Music Collection! Big, Small, Organized, or Complete Chaos.

recordholicsanonymous — Fri, 30 Oct 2026 08:17:10 +0000

One of my favorite things about music collecting is seeing how differently people approach it.

Some collectors organize everything alphabetically.

Some organize by genre, artist, label, or release year.

And some have a system that makes absolutely perfect sense to them and nobody else.

Let's see where your music lives!

Share a photo of your collection, your favorite shelf, your listening corner, or even just a few albums you're especially proud to own.

It doesn't matter whether you have ten records or ten thousand.

And if your shelves are overflowing, you're among friends.

What's your organizing system?

Or have you officially given up trying to maintain one?

Show Us What Followed You Home!

recordholicsanonymous — Fri, 30 Oct 2026 08:16:46 +0000

You know how it goes.

You stop at a record shop just to look around.

Maybe you browse a few bins.

Maybe you tell yourself you're not buying anything.

And somehow, you're carrying something out the door.

This is the place to show us your latest finds!

New releases, used records, bargain-bin treasures, CDs, cassettes, thrift-store discoveries, and unexpected scores are all welcome.

Post a photo if you have one.

Was it something you'd been hunting for, or did you stumble across it completely by accident?

Bonus points if you went in looking for one thing and came home with something entirely different.

Not that any of us would ever do that.
